I stop in here often when I'm staying at our cabin. The food is amazing, service is top notch, pricing is fair and comparable to other restaurants, and everything is clean and tidy. I've tried their brisket, pulled pork, ribs, pork steak, and several of their sides. Brisket is hard to get right. It's dry and tough if you don't do it right. Jeff's brisket is juicy and tasty and the rest of his BarBQ is top notch as well. His baked beans taste like grandma's, and that's a huge compliment. LOL. Cole Slaw is good and really adds to the pulled pork. Onion Rings were nice and crispy as were the fries. Be sure and try both of his sauces. Hot and mild. The hot isn't real hot but does add some zing and the flavor profile is phenomenal. Desserts are great as well and have that southern home made flavor. There really isn't anything I've tried that isn't great food. Staff is always friendly, polite, and working hard to serve their customers. I don't think I've ever had a glass get close to empty. Many times the owner will be walking around talking to customers making sure everything is good and if it's really busy you'll probably see him helping the staff serve tables. That says a ton about the guy and really contributes to the family atmosphere. The atmosphere here is just like being at a family gathering. Everyone is so friendly and just make you feel at home. Can't say enough great things about the food or the staff. A+ As a retired fire fighter, I absolutely love the Fire Truck Smoker!!
